With my first book of poetry published, I was hard at work on my second book, a collection of 5 short stories that tell a single tale. I had set a goal to try and experiment: 10 pages a day for 30 days. Did it work? Well, some days I wrote less than ten, others I wrote more then 10. Some days - na-da. What was the final outcome? Well, I spent nearly 90 days, and produced 802 pages....and two book drafts. The collection of 5 short stories, titled From the Darkness is all done...let's call it draft 1.5 :-) I'll let it sit now till August, turn it over in my mind, have some people close to me read it and then I'll re-write it in August and September. Target, January 1, 2008 for publication.
The second piece of work that surprisingly came out of me during this time is a book I've titled 51 Days In Isolation. This book is sort of a draft 0.5 - the rough makings of the story are there, but it needs at least 2 more re-writes. But it is done, from start to finish and I was pleased and surprised. Now I can leave the writing quiet for a bit and get back to some of the other things I put on hold in the process.
I'll publish an excerpt from 51 Days In Isolation here in the next day or so.

Ummmm. Sounds interesting.

Well done. I think the poems were really awesome.
I think publishing for the Christmas 2007 would be smart but maybe to much of a rush.
Now can you come back to Senge. We would like to have your perspective.
